Data collection project on scattered farmstead settlements

Hungarian Academy of Science has launched a broad data collection project on the South-Eastern periphery of Hungary in association with SurveyCloud. The goal was to collect basic information on citizens, living in smaller household units that characterize and determine the settlement pattern of the vast majority of the Great Plain region.

Survey topic includes household characteristic, housing and farming conditions and the typical demographic indicators of inhabitants. Pictures of each visited farm as well as their GPS coordinates were recorded by the field-work team, who conducted this grandiose project within 5 months. Total number of interviewed farm exceeded 8000.
